Bergen County NJ Attractions: MEDIEVAL TIMES !
Looking for a completely different change of scenery for an evening?
Well grab your Sword and throw down the Gauntlet and head over to Lyndhurst, NJ to MEDIEVAL TIMES, for a 'Knight' to Remember !
Medieval Times - Lyndhurst NJ
From the moment you enter the "castle", you get a glimpse into times past, where the version of physical entertainment wasn't Ultimate Fighting, but instead Jousting, and Swordfights with metal armor and shields ! ... and some pretty fierce-looking weapons !
At Medieval Times, there are 6 different Knights that compete in the Tournament - each representing a different color !
... you are assigned a seat (and a crown) bearing the color of 'your Knight for the Night' !
In a recent visit, my family were assigned to the YELLOW KNIGHT's Section !
While watching the tournament and battles, you are served by your own waitress wench!, who brings a feast of chicken legs, garlic bread, baked potatoes and juicy ribs !
... and your delicious apple fritter !
Fun and entertainment ensues, as you Cheer Mightily for your Knight throughout the events !
Yep, this is a high energy evening, and fun for the family !
Especially if your Yellow Knight wins the tournament ;o)
So if you are in Bergen County, and looking for a change of pace ... then consider Medieval Times !
149 Polito Ave, Lyndurst NJ - 866-543-9637
Cheers !

good morning Sheldon-Looks and sounds like a wonderful time and I love the pics of the family and Spencer. But love the closed eyes on Preston. He either was napping and not impressed or the camera caught him like that. Glad to see you having fun and back posting. Have a great weekend.
Haha ! Yes Sharoney - Preston tends to get caught with his eyes closed in many pictures ! lol ... he had fun though. Have a great weekend !

Love the family fun and let the games begin. We have Medieval Times here in the Dallas area and it is popular. Nice post to feature a fun adventure.
Hey Sheldon! Midieval Times is a blast for the kids... even us big kids who need to get Midieval once in a while! ;-)
Hilarious, I bet the boys love this medival times tournament. What a great family event.
Hannah ! Thanks, and wishing you a terrifc 2012 too !
Connie ! I would love to see one in another state ! They are all slightly different I hear, so maybe when I visit your neighborhood I'll che3ck out the one in Dallas !
Brian ! Ha ! Oh you're right there - I'm sure I was cheering loudest of all of us ;o)
Eileen ! They certainly do ! But then they go home and start hacking each other all night with paper towel roll swords !!
Hi Sheldon. My daughter has been there a couple of times on school trips and she always enjoyed it very much.
Jill ! It really is fun for all ages ! ... my son has been five times, loved it every time, and he's only 6 !!!
Cheers Jill !
Sheldon, My daughter and son-in-law owned a Renaissance Faire for years.. Your Medieval Times is something like one of the shows at Branson, Mo.
Hi Judi ! These shows are so great because we get a little glimpse of what life was like all those years ago - but we get to see it in real life ! Fun stuff ! Cheers Judi !
I love the Jousting! It looks like the whole family had a fun glimpse into the past. What a great memory for your boys. I am shocked to see how much they have grown in the last year! What are you feeding those boys?!
;)
Hahah ! I know, I look at pictures from the beginning of the year and cant below how they have grown !
Cheers Betina ! Hope you are well :o)
Pretty cool, Sheldon. I've never been to one of these and it looks quite fun.
Plus, it's been quite sometime since I was involved in a swordfight ;)
Sheldon, you have to take your kids to the Metropolitan Museum in New York to the Knights exhibit. They even have Henry the VIII's suit of armour on display. It's pretty cool stuff!
Jason ! Haha ! I bet you could still handle your weapon deftly !
Pat ! Thats a GREAT idea !!!! I'll add it to the list ! Cheers Pat !!
Its been a coupple years since we have been there, but we have been a few times (in Dallas and in Los Angeles). Lots of fun and good food.
My son just looked at the back of the program and wants to go to the one in Dallas !!! Maybe we'll meet you there !!!
Cheers John !
