It's great to know that our military will be taken care of when they return from duty. The
first time home buyer tax credit of 2010 was extended until April 30, 2011.
If you find a home we will need you to be under contract on a qualified purchases with a binding sales contract in place by April 30, 2011.
Closing needs to be prior to July 1, 2011 to get the tax credit.
It amounts to quite a bit of money for our military families!
It is 10% of the sales price up to $8000 and $6,500 tax credit for repeat home buyers.

And this is a wonderful thing to do for our military!
This is proving to be a real help for some of the military home buyers in our area too.
Even though it costs us as taxpayers money. I think they should make a standard tax credit for military purchases. Maybe 4k or something like that. Make it permanent.
