Facebook seems to be on a mission to eradiate fear of change, by constantly introducing something new to enhance the social network's experience.
After recent changes to Facebook Groups, Facebook Messaging Service and the Check-in Appplication, yesterday, on a 60 Minutes Sunday night feature, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, unveiled the "new Facebook profile", yet another change to the most popular social networking platform in existence.
The newest Facebook update consists in a new look to Facebook personal profiles, designed with the purpoe to "give a sense of who (people) are", according to Facebook's Product Manager's statementto USA Today.
The new Facebook profile will prominently display users' information at the top of the profiles. You will be able to see a Facebook user's employer, hometown, relationship status, interests, and more...without having to click the info tab.
I believe this intuitive approach will make it less confusing for those learning to use Facebook and easier for "not-so-new" Facebook users who are looking to take advantage of Facebook's imminent networking value in marketing or advertising a product or service to carefully targeted users.
If you have not yet experienced the new profile, Facebok will prompt you in a future login to your Facebook homepage or profile. Just click on the notification and you'll be all set.
So get ready to embrace change as Facebook reinvents itself over and over. There's defnitely a lot more to come (and to get used to)!

Elayna, glad to see you back. . I was wondering if I had to change my Facebook profile to the new look .. after reading your post, I'll just wait for the notification and do it there. Thanks!
Seems like FaceBook is a never ending line of changes. Evolution or just mayhem? I like what they have done so far.
Hello Elayna and Mark is a very creative individual and will continue to make "Facebook" one of the best & biggest networks in the World, wonderful post my friend and "Highlighted/ Featured" at one of my favorite groups ...
LATE NIGHT - EARLY MORNING AT ACTIVERAIN
Vegas Bob ;-)
Elayna, watching Jimmy Kimmel last night he made me laugh with a statement to the effect of, it gives those people who are on Facebook all day anyway a chance to work. Adaptability is it's strength, no reason there to let it stagnate.
Thank you guys! I am a Facebook lover for sure but definitely not an addict. The secret is to use it well and to adapt and embrace the marvelous changes. Did you like my Facebook Page http://facebook.com/positivemom yet?
Thank you VB for the feature. Hope to see you next time I come to Vegas.
Your very welcome and if I take a vacation across the southern states to Florida I will make sure to stop by ...

Facebook competes with EVERYONE. It reinvents itself constantly. With over 500 million users, LinkedIN was left behind over 400 million ago. The question is...WHO will EVER be brave enough to compete with Facebook?
Who can compete? When what they provide is free to the public, how do you compete with free?
Thanks for the info about the coming change.
Well guess who made it to TIME Magazine's MAN OF THE YEAR?
I was stumbling around a bit when I noticed the new profile. It does seem to be easier now. Everyone will get the hang of it.
That's the attitude!
I actually liked the OLD look and the forcing the random photos on your Home page does not give you any choice. They tinker too much I think but that is what programmers are paid to do, keep changing things.
Yeah, we "geeks" love the changes :) xoxo
Elayna - I like how you equate facebook with change as it is constantly changing. I have yet to change to the new facebook profile but get daily/hourly reminders. If I wait long enough some even "newer and more improved" will come along.
Good point, Michael. I don't think they will let you keep it too long, though. I'd try just to see LOL
Elayna...I'm going to set mine up today. Thanks for the reminder and I hope you have a great week!
:) You have a lovely week, as well! Thank you, Rob!
Thank you for this great information. I will be sure and share with others.
