6th Annual Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail Festival

Montgomery Wine and Food TrailAnd, I can't wait! Last year we were totally out of town and I missed the whole thing. Years before I didn't live here so this year will be my first time ever. Driving through old Montgomery is pleasing to the eye and senses.

Much of it is preserved from the original town built in 1837. Walking through the buildings that are now Antique Stores and Restaruants is just a ball.  

I can't help but admire the old wood and design of the wood and the creaky floors and such.





There is such a flavor of the past and an era that stands in History.

 


Montgomery County was third County to join the Charters of Texas and also the sight of the birth of the Lone Star Flag.

This year I am not going to miss the Wine and Food Trail!

Down Town Montgomery features a very special place called "Texas Uncorked" our very own Winery!  It even gets better though. Our Wine and Food Trail includes CHOICE TEXAS WINERY'S AND SAMPLES OF TEXAS FOODS! You will also be able to sample seasonal and micro-brewed beers. Whew, that'll keep me busy for a few hours!  Booths will include Arts and Crafts, upscale Artisan vendors and more. 6th Annual Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail Festival

This celebration of TEXAS is truly a great for the family event. Children will be entertained with Games, Face Painting, Grape Stomping and other fun festivities for the day.

This event begins at 10:00AM and ends at 9:00PM on September 17th   The admission is FREE and a wine tasting package is only $20.00. Entertaining along with Cody Johnson will be John Slaughter, Bri Bagwell, Clayton Gardener, Stephen Sweeten and The Jazz Connection.

Don't Let the Board Dash On By!

Ever feel as if you're missing something? You probably are!

Dashboard

I think we're missing a lot by not going one step further than the dashboard. There are features beyond that one page!

What's the point of the DASHBOARD?

The DASHBOARD.

Up front and suppose to be seen. 





Attention getter, the front cover of the book, the tuxedo or gown of the ball.

 

 

 

If you're like me you may only get to the site once or twice in a very busy day. If you are running 100 miles an hours there are options!Catch the features

First of all, check in on all favorites and then proceed to the dashboard to read the features.

Read and comment on the posts that interest you!

I just realized I need to go one step further! 

The reason they call it the dashboard is because some of the good ones (in this case, posts) just dash on by!

We are likely to miss valuable and useful posts with lots of good reading unless we check and double check.

We may never get a chance at reading them again.

HOW TO OVERCOME THIS DILEMMA.

Schedule of success....

1. Wake Up....check the Features.

2. Turn on coffee, go to restroom...check the Features.

3. Brush teeth, groom, get dressed, check the Features.

4. Make bed, tidy up, gather work for the day, go to office...but first check the Features.

5. Enter office, sit down (or not) and check the Features.

6. Leave computer screen on ActiveRain and refresh at least once every other hour...

or....

You could use the CLICK OPTION we all seem to overlook and click on More Featured posts...


There they are. Days and days and days of featured posts that just dashed on by without being seen or being read by YOU.

So, if you are away for very long be sure and check the More Featured posts... and scroll your way into Featured land.

Easy as a dash of salt! Remember if you spill your dash of salt pick up some salt and toss it over your left shoulder...this is a sure fire way to remain lucky enough to catch all the great reading!
