Inman 2009: Pass The Nikon, Please...

I had a wonderful time at Inman 2009 and am very much looking forward to my next set of AR Road Trips.

I remember thinking as I headed towards the Marriott that TLW and Broker Bryant would not be there. I was a little sad because Billie has not been feeling well lately and I would have loved to meet them. I hope I will some time later on this year, so  please keep BB and TLW in your prayers and send them your regards. She's gonna need her strength to deal with the little minions (LOL). Besides, I believe in the power of prayer and would love to see her whole and pain free, happy with her beloved BB.

Although Inman 2009 was not the same without them, I will always treasure this experience, for I was fortunate to spend major quality time with some of the most gracious and kind people I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

My hubby took over my little minion duties so I could could hang out with the people "living in my computer." Deliriously happy that I had a play date with my Club Chaos peeps Audrey June-Forshey and Meyer Leibovitch, I also wondered who else I was going to see once we settled in for our visit. Audrey and I had been spoofing about getting together for quite some time now and anticipation can be a beautiful thing. She's always bragging about how smart Meyer is. Smart is an understatement. Dude is brilliant. After a few months of plotting and planning it was finally going to happen and I was very excited about it, like a little kid doing the Snoopy Dance. It was well worth the time and effort. I truly enjoy when on-line peeps convert into stellar brick and mortar relationships.

Nothing beats an AR Road Trip and the bonus of this Tweet-up was the fact that I was going to make the acquaintance of a few more of my favorite Tweet-peeps and Active Rain blog buddies. I couldn't wait to get in there even though I had no idea where I was supposed to be going. Nothing like a timely text message from Audrey to send me on my way (LOL). I was on the hunt for some rare eye candy and knew I would be playing "pass the camera" with my friends as soon as I set foot in the Atrium where they were waiting.

For those of you who think Twitter or blogging on Active Rain is a waste of your time, I want you to please think about it again. I got to meet a lovely group of people simply by direct messaging my cell phone to Tweet-peeps who were tweeting during the conference. We were updating in real time using the public and private Twitter time lines. We played phone tag and exchanged rapid fire consecutive e-mails. It was nice to be constantly in touch with one another. I was not the only one who was tweeting my exact location either. So did Audrey. I also posted a brief update on Active Rain while in the Atrium playing in my social media accounts using her laptop. Nothing like making use of the AR Club Chaos "Electronic Rolodex" if you need to send an e-mail or retrieve a number to reach out and touch someone. Facebook came in handy as well. We had a blast and created some lovely memories to share.

Here's a little Inman eye candy for you:
