Sometimes Fast Food Can Be Healthy and Tasty ! - Samurai Sams - Lodi, NJ !!!

Well I think many of us agree that we are working harder and harder, more hours, and have less spare time !

With that in mind, it is often necessary for me and many other Realtors to 'grab and go' some form of Fast Food for lunch !

The problem then arises that many of the traditional fast food joints dont have anything terribly appetizing in the 'healthy' section of the menu ! (if they have a healthy section at all !)

 

Enter Samurai Sams Teriyaki Grill !!!

 

We have a new Samurai Sams in Lodi NJ, and the place is FABULOUS !

 

 

 

Their chicken comes in FRESH every day, and they hand cut it, and add Samurai Sam's famous marinade. Only after the marinade has infused perfectly is it taken out and grilled to perfection !

Their vegetables are always FRESH and not frozen, including zucchini, peppers, carrots, snow peas, broccoli and cabbage - all washed and cut into bite size pieces ready to be 'steamed' in their woks to order !

Finally they always have two large rice steamers filled and ready for your choice of brown or white rice.

All of these ingredients come together for a deeeelicious Chicken Teriyaki Bowl !

 

As you can see, this was my choice for lunch today !!!

And as I mentioned up top, steamed veggies, steamed brown rice, marinaded chicken, and a zesty teriyaki sauce makes the Samurai Sams Chicken teriyaki bowl one of the tastiest, yet 'healthiest' items you can grab on the run !!!

Owner Warren Johnson (center) runs the restaurant with great emphasis on smiley customer service - so from the food to the overall experience, Samurai Sams is a great midday place to stop !

 

And they deliver and Cater too !!!!

Innovative Food Stops in Bergen County ! - "THE CHIT CHAT DINER !!"

Everyone loves a Diner once in a while !

 

... that universal place where you can get breakfast at 8pm, soup with a side of waffles, or simply a cup of coffee and a newspaper !

But here in Lodi, NJ, a renovated diner has taken the experience to another level !

 

 

 


The CHIT CHAT DINER on Essex Street in Lodi, still has the allure of a regular diner menu, but this place has a different feel to it !

Its distinctly retro decor is cool enough, but the real twist to this place, is that on each table is a little box of cards. And on each card, is a phrase or sentence, intended to be used as a conversation starter !!!!

 

 

 

 How Simple is that !! 

 

But yet so much fun that you can now go to this diner just to hang out and ... yes ... "Chit Chat" !!!!!

 

 

When we were there, some of the cards had questions like

"If you could spend one year in any country, which country would you choose" or "What is your ultimate vacation spot"

... each question thought provoking, and designed get you chit chatting with your friends on some fun topics !

 


 

 

I love this place, and the food was good too - my tuna salad was deeelicious ! ... and to top it off the manager made regular circuits of the diner to ask with a smile "How's everything !"

 

 

 

 

 

So if you are in Central Bergen County anytime soon, and want to stop at a Diner with some friends, then consider the CHIT CHAT DINER in Lodi, and be ready for some fun CHIT CHATTING !!!!
